Pooch Hall faces 6 years in prison for child abuse and DUI
Pooch Hall is facing six years in prison after being formally charged with child abuse and driving under the influence.
The Ray Donovan star who previously starred on The Game was arrested on October 3 after he crashed his Chrysler 300 into a parked car. Witnesses on the scene told police they saw his two-year-old son behind the wheel prior to the collision.
The shocking incident occurred in Burbank around 7:30 p.m. and we still can’t believe the details. According to reports, witnesses saw Hall’s 2-year-old son steering the car from his dad’s lap while the car weaved in and out of traffic. The vehicle eventually hit a parked car and thankfully, no one was injured.
Police noted there was a car seat laying in the backseat of the car but it was not installed.
“Mr. Hall displayed obvious signs of alcohol intoxication and was unable to perform standardized field sobriety tests,” a spokesperson told PEOPLE. “Mr. Hall’s two-year-old son was riding in the car with him at the time of the collision and was determined to have been riding in the vehicle unrestrained, as required by law.”
According to TMZ, police confirmed they smelled alcohol when they arrived on the scene and Hall’s blood alcohol level was .25, more than three times the legal limit.
He was released on $100,000 bail and his son was unharmed and released into his wife’s custody.
Pooch Hall (Marion Henry Hall) is scheduled to be arraigned on Thursday and faces one felony count of child abuse as well as “one misdemeanor count each of driving under the influence of an alcoholic beverage and driving with a .08 percent blood alcohol content,” the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office announced on Tuesday.
If he’s found guilty, Hall could spend up to six years in prison.
So far, Showtime has not commented not he situation or Hall’s future on Ray Donovan and the actor has made no public statement on the matter.
