Skai Jackson Fires Back at Commenter Who Finds Her Too Dark
Actress Skai Jackson swiftly clapped back at a fan who tried to insult her melanin-rich appearance.
The 16-year-old appeared on the carpet of the “Escada Show” for New York Fashion Week and sported a chic look. Jackson wore a long-sleeve silk chemise blouse paired with a pink sequin high-waist skirt and heels. The teen also debuted her new brassy pink hair color in a photo with “Teen Vogue.”
Jackson wrote on Instagram, “In #NYFW for the @EscadaOfficial Show, spending the day taking over for @TeenVogue.”
Fans went crazy over the actress’ “beautiful” look and said she “slayed” fashion week. However, there was one naysayer who slighted Jackson’s overall appearance and wrote, “Looks terrible on you honestly. Makes you look darker.”
Jackson audaciously retorted back, “I’m sure I saw the doll version of you on the clearance aisle at the dollar store.”
Jackson is most known for her role as Zuri Ross on the Disney Channel series “Jessie” and “Bunk’d.” She launched her own fashion line with “Nowadays” in 2017.
In an interview with WWD in 2016, Jackson said she’s very careful about everything she posts on social media.
“I always have to be careful with what I post. Even if there’s a post that’s been deleted, a second later someone’s already taken a screenshot and it’s to the next blog,” the teenager said.
Jackson is set to appear on the upcoming Fox comedy pilot “Our People.”
