⛳ Tiger is back
We waited for this moment for five years — the sight of Eldrick “Tiger” Woods making his way to the 18th green at Atlanta’s East Lake Golf Club as spectators swarmed, chanted and cheered. Woods would finish the day with his 80th career PGA Tour victory, and the first since he won the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational in 2013. He fell just short of claiming the FedEx Cup, basically the championship of the PGA Tour, but that’s OK. What matters most is him wearing red, on a Sunday, en route to glory. After spinal fusion surgery and a remarkable comeback season, Tiger is back — at the top of the sport he revolutionized, and as a member of the United States’ Ryder Cup team for the first time since 2012. Oh, and on his all-time Mount Rushmore of golfers? “Snead … Jones … Nicklaus … me.” That’s right, Tiger. Let ’em know.
