Whitney Houston honored in new 'Celebrate' music video

Whitney Houston’s final music video has arrived — and it’s a party. The “I Will Always Love You” singer’s last studio recording, featuring Jordin Sparks,  is brought to life in a video featuring the cast of Sparkle including Tika Sumpter, Carmen Ejogo, Derek Luke, and Omari Hardwick, dancing at a house party. Houston appears in the video via un-released footage from the film.

“We planned on it being Whitney and me, but she’s not here, so we wanted to make it a tribute to her,” the winner of Sparks said during a recent interview with BET. She also said, “What we wanted to do was make sure that this was a fun, happy video and just kind of dedicating it to her.”

The official Sparkle soundtrack is due out July 31, and the film is set to hit theaters August 17.
